Ashland Longboards all began when our buddy Joe moved away from Redondo Beach, CA to attend college in Ashland, OR during the mid 90’s. In college, Joe took up woodworking classes to occupy his time away from the ocean and he soon began building furniture under the label Ashland Designs.
It was during a long slow summer without surf that Joe created a hand-made Ashland Designs longboard. After seeing these boards, requests came trickling in from his friends, South Bay locals and classmates back in Ashland, they all wanted their own ride. And so it was, a skate brand was born.
We still carry a line of boards reminiscent to the first Ashland Designs board, as well as some progressive interpretations for progressive riding. Joe passed along his creations and expertise, and now we offer them to you. We’ve been entrusted with making these American-made longboards and want you to experience the beauty of riding an Ashland too.
